Activating the Software License

Instructions for activating your VHDoc license. You can use it free for 30 days or activate an official license under contract.

1. Free 30-day trial​

If you have just installed the software and want to try its features:

  1. Open VHDoc.
  2. Click Settings in the left menu bar.
  3. Select the License & Activation tab.
  4. Click the "Start 30-day trial" button. The software will automatically unlock all features so you can use it right away.

2. Activating the official license (with a .lic file)​

For organizations that have purchased a license:

Step 1: Export the request file

Go to Settings -> License, click "Export activation request file (.req)" and save it to the computer.

Step 2: Send it to the provider

Send the saved .req file to the software provider by email or message.

Step 3: Load the license file

When you receive the .lic file back, click "Choose license file (.lic)" in the software to activate successfully.

3. Usage notes​

  • No Internet connection required: The software can be activated and used normally on internal computers without an Internet connection.
  • When changing computers: If your agency replaces the computer, simply export the activation request file again on the new computer and contact technical support to be issued a new license.
